Lance, Paula, Judy, Debbie and Bruce worked at the Garden of Grace. Bruce and Lance started the harvest at 9:15 AM and the others arrived about 10:00 PM. A total of 13.5 person-hours were worked.
All ripe and nearly ripe tomatoes were harvested for salad and all green tomatoes large enough to be stuffed were also harvested. In addition to this about 25 partially ripe tomatoes were picked for ripening wrapped in newspaper and stored in a garage. Bruce will check with Leonard about hanging tomato vines with green fruit to ripen once they are pulled.
Swiss chard, basil, cucumbers and trombetta squash were also harvested for salad. Pumpkins, butternut and miscellaneous winter squash (picked earlier) were weighed and will be used for table decorations along with Indian corn. (The squash will then be cooked in OHK meals.)
About 150 Stockton Red onion seedlings were planted in K5, completing the planting in that bed.
